Our goal with Evolution of Sound is to curate a museum of ideas and events, significant artists and movements in the history of the art of recorded sound. We can learn a lot about ourselves and how we interact with technology from the artists and inventors who make their art using the first storage medium of the Information Age. This is very much a work in progress. Try as we might, the thought of a coherent Evolution through history is more a reflection of our own minds than the reality of different artists struggling with different ideas at different times. We invite you to draw your own conclusions on how each of the artists may have contributed to one another and the movement of the art as a whole.
